How can we forget....We Can't!!

09-11-2001

Can you believe it's been seven years today. That day put a lot of things into persepctive for me. It gave me a new outlook on our military and their duties to protect us...gave me a new understanding and appreciation for President Bush. It made me realize just how short life can be.

So here's to all the fallen firefighters and policeman who bravely gave their lives to help others. Here is to our soldier's who so selfishly do the same. Here is to the President for guiding us though it all to th best of his ability...God Bless You All...Your in my thoughts and prayers today as I take a moment to recall the trajic events we now call "911"

My Angel Baby

Well I think I'm going to give the "Blog" stuff a try. I love being on the computer and dinking with all my pictures etc. So I might as well put it all to use, I suppose.

Last weekend we took Ryder camping and I mean real hard core camping. Tent style!! We camped at the river for four days. I wasn't sure how this whole camping thing was going to go since it was Ryder's first time. He is used to the comforts of Gramma Kathleen's motorhome, not an air mattress on the floor of a tent.

Ryder amazed us and fell asleep in his lawn chair all three nights by 9 and Mommy carried him to the tent where he stayed til 8-8:30 in th morning. I am always the first one up around here and was up at 7 watching the sun shine across the river, enjoying my coffee and my quiet time.

My sweet sweet ANGEL Baby did wonderful. He had soooo much fun digging in the sand, looking for clams (yes our rivers have clams...yuck) and swimming. He was also handy at the campfire bringing over wood, collecting grasshoppers and playing monster trucks. I couldn't ask for a better "Angel Baby"...he truly is an Angel!
He did however, get beat up a bit. He managed to step on a bee and cut his foot on a piece of glass. He was so darn tough he didn't even cry. He was sure mad at that bee though.

Ryder is also really enjoying riding his 50. It ticks him off that it has training wheels on it and sometimes won't even ride it because they are there. He will walk up to his motorcycle and repeatedly kick it telling me "Momma, take these stupid wheels off here!!" He knows his Dad's bike doesn't have them so he thinks he doesn't need them either ***sigh***
I guess I do another little update from the rest of our summer fun...this is enough for now, since I already feel like I am foolishly rambling!!
